Crankcase Pressure Regulator

SKVL-12/15/22/28/35 Crankcase Pressure Regulator is installed on the suction line in front of the compressor. The role of the SKVL Crankcase Pressure Regulator is to protect the compressor from overload of the compressor motor during restart after a long period of non-use of the compressor or after defrosting (high pressure in the evaporator).

Make sure that the piping around the valve is clean and securely fastened. This will prevent the valve from vibrating. All KV pressure regulating valves must always be installed so that the fluid flows in the direction of the arrow. In addition, KV pressure regulating valves can be mounted in any position, but they must not generate an oil or hydraulic lock. Welding: Installation During welding, the valve must be wrapped in a damp cloth. Always point the gas flame away from the valve so that the valve is not exposed to direct heat. Be careful not to leave solder in the valve during soldering as this could damage the function of the valve. Make sure that all manometer inserts have been removed before welding the KV valve.

Inert gas must always be used when welding KV valves.

How is it adjusted and set? SKVL-12/15/22/28/35 Crankcase Pressure Regulator Valve: The SKVL crankcase pressure regulator valves are all factory set at 2 bar. clockwise rotation will provide higher pressure and counterclockwise rotation will provide lower pressure. The factory setting is the point at which the SKVL starts to open or just closes. Since the compressor must be protected, the SKVL should be set to the maximum allowable suction pressure of the compressor. This must be set using a compressor suction pressure gauge.
